ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION:

The Burroughs Wellcome Fund Scholars Program is limited to the first 50 teachers who work at schools located in Tier 1 or Tier 2 North Carolina counties. Click here to determine whether your school's county is classified as Tier 1 or Tier 2. In addition to free registration, each Burroughs Wellcome Fund Scholar is eligible to receive substitute teacher reimbursement (up to $80 each day of the conference, not to exceed $160). Apply here.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

All scholars are required to attend both days of the conference and complete a program evaluation. Scholars are also required to attend all live plenary sessions where attendance will be collected (see below for the full list of the required sessions and start times). Failure to complete all the requirements will result in the forfeiture of your substitute reimbursement and $50 security deposit.

If you are a confirmed Burroughs Wellcome Fund Scholar, you will receive an email providing a form to be completed and submitted to be reimbursed for substitute teacher pay.
